# How to create and customize invoices on QBO

#### How to create an invoice?

Follow this [LINK](https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-ca/help-article/invoicing/create-invoices-quickbooks-online/L7gSzvCld_CA_en_CA) for how to create an invoice. Make sure to open the drop down for the new or old layout.

#### I've created an invoice, how can I customize it?

**Step 1**

Create an invoice.

**Step 2**

At the top right hand side of a blank invoice, click the Settings/Gear Icon.

**Step 3**

Click "Change what your customers see".
